Formula 1 2007

Hmmm I wonder :)
Nice 1 Hamilton - proved why he is at the top...
New circut in extreme conditions.

What was ross brawn thinking... putting the ferrari's out on inters?
Once again this year, Ferrari let the drivers down.

Who really believes Massa needed tyres and fuel at the end???
That was team orders being played as only SF team can.

Anyway, good result for a deserving driver. Sorry about poor Vettel... shame!

Yep, he has a team who cheats to allow him to get there :p
He drove a good race to take the win, but at the same time benefitted from the misfortune,cock-up's of others at the same time.
It was equal for everyone as none had raced at the Fuji circuit (excluding Toyota who own and test there).

Ross Brawn is on a sabbatical, so I doubt that he had anything to do with the decision to start on inters. Kimi stated that they had not been advised of the ruling - so it will be interesting to see the outcome of that statement. Bit of a silly move imo, but maybe they were expecting the conditions to get better.

Very possibly a move by Ferrari to give Kimi the maximum points for the race, but a hell of a site more ethical, legal and face-saving (important in Japan), than telling Massa to move over.

All in all I still think the current status in F1 is farcical given the puny punishment Mclaren received for industrial espionage, but what can one expect from a sport run by money and profits.

Here's to a decent Superbike Sunday, and some more exciting action from MotoGP.

Aah - and I love every minute hearing the tsotsis complaining about it. Imagine being beaten by a car that was illegal. The bliss.
EVERYONE on the podium benefitted from the scrap in the middle. Ferrari on the other hand, did some really doff things today.
As for money and profits - funny that McLaren were fined exactly the amount the FIA were out of pocket for their bribe to Ferrari for signing the Concorde agreement.

Agree with the motorgp action - far more exciting.

It seems that apparently only Ferrari are capable of cheating and when caught, must be punished to the full extent of the law, but others can get off lightly. Most Anti-Ferraristi do love the fact that their boys have been given the opportunity to enjoy winning the Championship by illegal means.

Absolutely agree. It was one of those races where results were driven by luck and attrition than by real skill. Ferrari tried really hard to ensure that they scored no points today for some reason, but they were thwarted by other drivers doing even more silly things on track.:D

If that were the case then they are still out of pocket as Mclarens real fine was only $30 million. Wonder who they will censure next to ensure they make that money back:p

And that it is. Even with the Champion being declared, one still looks forward with bated breath to the next race.

Well boet... who said McLaren did anything different to anyone else?

How many points did the safety car get in todays F1 GP?:) He was my "driver of the day"!!

Looks like Hamilton has this years championship in the bag but IMO, the Maclaren espionage saga is still going to hang over Hamilton's head like the hangman's noose or executioner's guillotine until he [eventually] wins a championship in a legit car.

Can't agree with you more there! But so it goes, roll on 2008 I say!

Weber was WELL annoyed at Vettel!!

I hate Hamilton with a passion (I believe he is another Shumi in the waiting) but, that said, I think you are giving McLaren a tough rap here:

Whatever explanations they come up now doesn't really matter because the fact remains that their chief designer was in possession of documents that he should not have had.

only for Ferrari supporters, McLaren supporters are aware of what Bernie and FIA are all about. ;)

lol - that Ferrari handed over to them in an attempt to sabotage the championship.
Of course Stepney couldn't have acted in the interests of the Mafia now, could he? :D

Macca supporters trying to save face from a dented championship:p

As only he would be, he's such a pathetic driver that when once he gets a podium chance by sheer dumb luck and an accident like that happens he moans like a prepubescent little kid (which has nothing to do with experience at all) think back of Montoya in Monaco slamming breaks and Schumacher running into the back of him. Was Schumacher a "Kid with no experience"? Mark Webber is a useless driver, and Vettel would serve better in the seat he wrongfully occupies. He should stick to driving a damn bicycle.

It so true, pure luck to be in that position! Like when Button won last years Hungarian GP, they act as if they had a good car, set-up well, etc etc, meanwhile back at the ranch it was just good luck and right place at the right time!
The sad thing about getting older in this world is that you realize EVERYTHING is just all a CON :D

And the car they are racing was designed last year before he had the documents. The present car 100% McLaren. If anything, the beef should be about next years car which is why the FIA is checking the car out before the season starts.
