Formula 1 2007

Poll on www.f1.com:
Do you believe Lewis Hamilton should be penalised over his driving behind the safety car in Japan?
  • Yes = 65.68%
  • No = 31.02%
  • Don't Know = 3.30%

Under normal circumstances I would support Ferrari, but I 'll go with Alonso here:D Hami's getting his bacon dragged over the coals, and I hope his points go up in smoke too:p

:D \o/ CHAK DE ALONSO \o/ :D

We all saw what happened. He was probably let off because of his threat to quit. link

Hamilton has a lot to learn and my opinion of him is changing. I'm becoming like all the previous Schumi Hating fans. :D
They shoulda called his bluff :)

damn english prat

F1 is about controversy, if he cant hack ppl wanting to give him a points deduction for driving like a toss then he should leave F1

english prick/baby

even jenson button another englishman said he drove badly

Did any of you even watch the video on youtube?

I am not a Hamilton supporter (Kimi FTW), but jeez, guys, he did absolutely nothing wrong. Correct decision to do nothing.

I saw it and thought that he was culpable.

Here we have a video of a guy setting up his opponents to overtake him and so be punished for overtaking behind the safety car and he gets off scot free.

Would love to hear the two affected drivers versions of this.

yea, hamilton is proving he is good but he is to young to start saying anything about likes or senna shummi

those are just really amazing drivers who worked hard and drove ****ty cars into good positions

The weather was atrocious - he got a bit close to the pace car and moved over rather than prang it up the rear. What happened to his left after that was also caused by the rain. Surely you saw that?

It could be either. He purposely sped up (knowing how fast a pace car can go, around a corner and in the wet!), moved to the right protecting his rear AND narrow the angle as you are not allowed to overtake. He was fully aware that something was going to happen! Ruthless tactic that one day will come back and haunt him.
