Fortuner - which one?

3.0 D4D from back in 2010 was a beast. I had a hilux 3.0 D4D for work and the boss had the Fortuner. They were both strong as rocks, but the Fortuna's ride felt much smoother.

It's odd that we don't have any here in Norway despite the SUV & bakkie market being pretty good.

I would not recommend the 2.4 auto. It's underpowered and the gear change is kark. 2.8 all the way but good second hand ones are expensive and scarce

Funny you say that because the 2.4 has way more torque than the old 3.0 and only 10kw less. And the 2.4 and 2.8 share the exact same gearbox.

Why not a sensible family car like a A4 Estate? (Ah, new I see they only come in RS4 mode... Well, if you can stretch your budget that is all the car you'd ever need)

Or if you must SUV, why not a Everest or a Pajero?

only thing similar would probably be engine capacity 2.2D and thats about it, even that damn ranger, its not just 1 engine they were released with... same capacity yeah but THREE damn engines depending on the year of manufacture

Maintenance on the Audi will be way more than on the Toyota.
