Fortuner - which one?

Best to go for everest then also has sync 3 with android auto and Apple car play and "built tough" lol

XLT is one to have.

Funny you say that because the 2.4 has way more torque than the old 3.0 and only 10kw less. And the 2.4 and 2.8 share the exact same gearbox.
Also there is a gearbox software update available from the dealers sa well. Should smoothen things out if there are issues.

My preference is for a bullet proof car that is cheaper or easier to maintain. I don't think the Everest fits that bill. As for toys inside the car - that's at the bottom of my list.
Chev Trailblazer? Within your price range, bulletproof and maintenance shouldn't be an issue, Isuzu has got your back.

Hmm.... and may be selling cheaper. Are spares not an issue for Chev?
Also, speaking with my wife, we may end up with something more on the lines of the Hyundai ix35 because of size and her driving confidence.
Yeah the Chev is a beast, if you are going with soft SUVs also consider the Xtrail range, you will get more forbyour money than you would in a Hyundai.

Have a look at the Honda CR-V as well. I had a Fortuner prior to this one , traded it in due to multiple thefts in the area. Ride height bit lower than Tiguan, etc , but higher than normal sedan. A lovely comfortable ride (compared to the Fortuner chassis, anything is better), decent in the wet, space is decent... my son at 1.9m can sit in the back without seats being moved forward. More seating room than the Fortuner. Boot can easily hold 2 or 3 golfbags, without letting down backrests or removing your woods :) Just take it for a test drive... nothing to lose :)

+1 on the CR-V.

For R250k OP can just about squeeze into a early Gen 4 model. Petrol, stick shift.

Which one do you have, the 2.4l?

What's the feeling about the Hyundai ix35 auto?

Don't really know too much about it but it definitely hasn't aged well IMO - looks like an old car to me these days. Couldn't you maybe consider a 2nd hand new shape Tucson for around the same money?

If you could pick one, which would you choose?

SUV / MPV:

Sedans:

The AUDI

Isn't the Q3 more like a cross-over type of vibe?

X-trail.

I think that would be my first choice too, but my wife has to drive it. I'm going to keep my eyes out for an Audi Q3 in EL - that one is in PE so not quick to take a test drive.

That one you sent was the 130KW model whereas most others in that same price bracket seem to be mainly the 110KW. So it looks like it could be a very good deal there, worth the travel maybe?
