Fourways internet - DOWN

More failure.

The fault guy I spoke to could only say one thing:

" They are working on the line "

In other words, he doesn't have a clue about the fourways faults either.

Maybe we should make a huge banner - "Telkom ADSL Down" and tie it from lamp pole to lamp pole across William Nicol...
Or I'm going to take a drive to the Exchange with some KFC and a 2L Coke :-)

OK I jut spoke to them too - Same story "They are working on the fault". But they dont have any detail on what the fault is.

So we site and be patient.

I am in Fourways off the Fourways Golf Park exchange and i have had no issues.

Also having the same issues since Thursday last week.

My last call this morning was at 11am, the Telkom helpdesk is still adamant there are NO issues with the Fourways exchange!!!!!!

Hi - I'm around the corner from you in Granite Road (Fairfield c/o William Nicol / Uranium). My phone lines are down and DSL completely flat lined still...Getting nowhere with Telkom.

I am in Fourways off the Fourways Golf Park exchange and i have had no issues.
Probably on an unaffected DSLAM, most likely one of the older ATM fed Marconi ones.

the Telkom helpdesk is still adamant there are NO issues with the Fourways exchange!!!!!!
Little birdie told me the right (level of) personnel are now on the job and have identified that there is a issue (at least on the IMAX I'm on). Keeping fingers crossed.

my connection was pretty stable this morning although speeds were somewhat slower than yesterday, but they just dropped through the floor about 15 minutes ago (I can't even run sppedtest), so have had to switch back over to 3G, this is damn frustrating

I called this AM when I got to the office and they reset the ports. Got home, rebooted my router and viola... Got internet.
Really strange thing happened when I called them. Not even two rings and I was speaking to someone. I nearly fell off my chair.

Setting a new record in FAIL here:

Phone back (good luck) and report it faulty again. First try and insist that they re-open your existing fault ref and also request an escalation fault ref.

Fortunately I'm not in your shoes.
