No, you have to have data in your bucket, unless you have the 64kbps or 128kbps Vas. It's crap, I know...

so i am going to live without internet until i top up my accoun!?
and they dun even know when their top up system will be fix...

3rd night in a row that it was disconnected before 12 so my scheduled downloaded didn't start. :(

Three words: "Free Download Manager".

Schedule it to dial-up. Only time it didn't work for me was when I forgot to fire up the programme itself!

(OK, so that was more than three words but the important part was the 1st ....) :-)

I have FDM... but I don't allow [any] programs to auto connect to internet for obvious reasons.

Fair enough, but for myself I would rather programme it to dial in at a specific time than leave my modem connected all the time - so its a very specific, timed connect. I also have it scheduled to disconnect.
I don't auto connect in any other way?
Each to their own I guess!

Is it just me or is bubbles slacking off somewhere when he should be flipping the uncapped switch?

Edit: Its 1am now and I'm still capped. Tried rebooting pc, disconnecting and reconnecting to the net, unplugging modem for 10 mins... still nothing. I don't want to have to stay up all night waiting to start my downloads :(

Edit 2: its 2:20 in the AM now and still I'm capped. Should have know this wouldn't be working for all to long

My understanding is that you need to have some bandwidth left [not capped] for you to be able to use this.

Hey all

Looking at the myBurst screen, my bandwidth usage seems to have changed. Last time I looked at it, I still had 2.5g avail, and had used about 7'ish gb. Benefits of after 12 bandwidth.

Now, I log in and it says I've used 4.5'ish gb and I have 500mb free? Is this correct? Is there a problem at iBurst with the monitoring/reporting or something?

Just a follow up. I PM'd r00igev@@r, and he sent me my usage report.

All good. It seems that the myBurst page doesn't display the "extra" usage. My bandwidth usage was a total of 10g so far this month on the usage report, but on the myBurst page, it was only displaying my "non extra" usage.

Thanks ou Rooies!

I went back to iburst until I have my adsl line sorted out thinking I can take advantage of this after hours service which hasn't been working for the past week. I see that Mental Tree has the same problem as me. I'm on the 128 VAS option.

Do you have bandwidth remaining or are you on the VAS 128 now? You need to have some bandwidth in your account to abuse "free" after hours.

In reply to your statement I'm on 128 VAS now and...

You can not reach your cap, you have to have data in your bucket to be able to use the "midnight" service deal.

Actually no. If you are paying for a VAS you don't have to have bandwidth. That is what Ronald said somewhere in this thread(not those exact words) and thats how it worked last month.

Responding to Mental-Tree's post
Correct, that is if you have the 64 kb/s or 128 kb/s VAS.

That is correct (even 1Kb will do). Buy a booster and you can go zero rated between 0:00 and 8:00am.

Ronald, Mental-Tree is using the 128kbps VAS, he doesn't need to have data in his bucket. See if you can help him out. It's not the first time he has issues with the "Midnight" service.
