French Elections 2017

I meant the first round, just to see her piss away more money trying to win something she can't.

Actually over 5% of votes, they get fully refunded of their campaign costs, so she'll get the money back.

Surely that's open to abuse then? Full page ads in every newspaper for months, since it all gets paid back.

It's fully audited by Auditor General, there is also a cap and some activities are allowed and other not. They also have benchmarks where if anything is too expensive it's refused.

Sarkozy almost went to jail for his 2012 campaign accounts and his party was refused a refund of over 20 million euro which were considered as non campaign related expenditure.

Hope Le Pen wins, hope AfD wins in September, hope Podemos wins Spain in the future, Wilders gets Netherlands in future, M5S gets Italy in future and Tsipras grows a pair in Greece and sticks it to the EU.

The EU relic needs to be broken down completely and something better made from its ashes ... amen

You have shares in SS uniforms manufacturers ?

Oh the irony, a totalitarian nation state utopia was Hitler's dream, but the EU achieved it ...

Fighting the EU of today is the exact opposite of what you seem to imply btw.

That's a fantasy that politicians have created to not take the blame.

The countries are very much independent and sovereign. To justify their own short comings, politicians have blamed everything (even things in which the EU never had any power) on the EU and now the extremes are using it.

It's based on lies like the immigration and NHS promises of Ukip.

The Euro-zone and every drawback that comes with it is a "fantasy"? :crylaugh:
Forced "austerity" is a "fantasy"?

I'm sure every member of the PIIGS will be delighted to hear their actual daily strife is just imagined.

Of course it is a joint responsibility and the local politicians sure as hell are not innocent, but the simple fact is many, specifically euro-zone, countries were better off before, and should seek to return to that prior state.

The Euro is not to blame?
European legislation is not to blame?

Please pull the other one.

France used to devaluate its currency every 5 to 10 years. Italy and Spain even more often, when I was a kid you were paying in notes of 100000 in Italy like in Zimbabwe.

When did that happen recently ?

Can you as a European passport holder be denied entry on your passport to an EU nation and on what grounds?

It's perfectly possible on grounds of public policy, public security or public health. And obviously if there's a warrant, it's compulsory to arrest.

We were actually calling it the trinity in European law studies, when a country can infringe an EU regulation, it's at 99% on these grounds.

So if I board a plane in Germany and fly to the UK on my EU passport, they can/will refuse me entry why? Just a normal citizen, no TB and no arrest warrants and not on any Terror watch list. Why would they refuse me entry on what grounds?

What I'm getting at is you don't need a VISA, so there is no "vetting" happening. I board a plane, and I get entry. So how does that help independence of countries?
