Fuel consumption

Is that the GVM for your A6? The GVM for my Touareg is 2840kg which explains the thirst for diesel compared to yours, I average around 750km's a tank in town.
I think its also the aero dynamics of it as well, car vs SUV - lower centre of gravity, 18 inch tyres as well

From one man bag to another :p
It could have been worse

LMAO. Ja well.

I do miss the BMW. I should have kept it. It was in pristine condition with 22k or 24k on the clock. It was the 2018 LCI model in Long Beach blue. Maybe it could have been worth something one day.

hmm

My Q5 (GVM around 1875kg I think) I'm getting 8.2l/100km long term average over about 100k km.

Might be the worse drag factor of the SUV? Also, I think the Q7 and Troureg both have the 8-speed auto gearbox, I have the 7-speed DSG box

8-speed q7 was only around 2013 or so.

Both treg and q7 just plain heavy in weight.

My treg can get 7-8 only if really only drive long distance , my angel use be 9 mixed. Now 10 due mainly using in town.

Drag coefficient and weight both play a part, Tare of my Toaureg is 2042kg, add myself and a tank of fuel and it is over 2200kg. Q7 and Touareg's from 2010 I think, have the 8 speed Aisin torque converter gearbox, before that it was a ZF 6 speed torque converter gearbox. So MkII and MKIIF versions gain efficiency from the gearbox but are also a couple 100kg's lighter as well.

Not sure how this happened, but 6.1l/100km from Centurion to Port Alfred in the T-Roc 2.0. Had the aircon on 80% of the way as well.

Not sure if it's my imagination or not, but I seem to be getting better fuel consumption figures on the open road after the car had its first service.. Or maybe I've just become accustomed to the car, so I know how to baby the throttle better now.

Nice, what engine do they have?

Over the last 3 fill ups, I'm getting 9.5 on my Jag, which is not bad for that type of engine, but that is driving in civilized mode. When I want to have some fun, it can easily go up to 18.

2007 Honda Accord 2.4 in town (cbd traffic daily) averaging ~9L/100km

2015 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2crdi mixed driving, ~9.4L/100km
