UK BTU FTW!!
Hi Fanie.
I want to flash my Note 8 to BTU like I did with my S7 Edge. Do I just follow your guide?
Do I use CSC or HOME_CSC?

Use Samfirm. Get the latest, if it's not oreo, oreo will OTA.

I literally followed the instructions. Only one I wasn't sure of was the csc. I didn't use the home_csc.
Should I rather take this to the flashing thread?

From the useful links in the Flashing thread, I went to updato.com and downloaded BTU from there as SAMMOBILE server is down for maintenance.
Downloaded from: https://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=7AC5FB23121B11E89F15FA163EE8F90B
Put the 4 files in their relevant spot - using CSC not HOME_CSC.
No error or anything.

I backed up the phone before hand and wiped it before doing the flash on Odin.
I didn't have my sim card in... I don't know if that makes a difference?

EDIT: And yeah - completed 100% successfully.

Fanie, that is the issue we where having with the s8 and n8. Could not flash successfully. U are the only one to get btu. But u said u flashed only AP then something happened... Is that correct

Yes. Flash AP, and the phone wiped. But didn't free up storage. Then voted into recovery did a full wipe, and then did a cache wipe just for good measure. Turned it off and then immediately booted into download mode where i flashed all 4 files.

So flash the single AP file first on its own?
Followed by full wipe, cache wipe, boot immediately into download mode and do all 4 files?
On a side note, did you install the BTU oreo OTA update? If so, any issues?
