Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4

Hey,

Not sure if this is the right place but the other sub forums all talk about mobile and this isn't mobile?:erm:
I am trying to decide between the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4" and Galaxy Tab S 8.4" - they are are very similarly spec-d and it seems to a very personal preference but i was just about to buy the Tab Pro 8.4 but realised it is "not sold" in S.A, so if something goes wrong with it, will Samsung be able to fix it here in S.A?
Am i shooting myself in the foot by buying the Tab Pro 8.4?
oops, forgot to mention i just want the wifi version.

Firstly. you're mixing things up a bit. There is no 'Galaxy Tab 4 Pro 8.4'.

There are four tablets in that ~8 inch size range:
- Galaxy Note 8 (old model)
- Galaxy Tab 4 8.0
- Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4
- Galaxy Tab S 8.4

As you've noted, the Tab 4 8.0 won't be in SA (or hasn't been announced yet), but here is a comparison table for the other three (I'm pretty sure I've posted it somewhere before)...

My personal choice would be the Tab pro 8.4. Best value for money.

Okay how did that 4 creep in there, i meant the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is similar to the Tab S 8.4.
The Tab Pro 8.4 also isn't coming to S.A.
Edited original post...

Give Samsung a call to see if it's supported. Otherwise, an S is not a bad option...

Orange store has the Tab Pro 8.4. It was going for R3800 last week. I have one and can definitely recommend it.

Yip, that's where i want to get it from...:D

I went the Samsung Experience store and compared the Tab S 10.1 vs the older Note pro 10.1 (i think it was) with the LCD screen, and i couldn't really tell the difference between the LCD and Amoled?

I haven't been able to find a demo in the stores yet where you can compare the screen of the Tab S 8.4 to an LCD.
