Game/console collectors thread

My Retro Pi went into retirement for now. :(

Got the Mrs a Nintendo Switch for Xmas and sadly TV only has 4 HDMI ports. She also "stole" the 8Bitdo for it so will have to make a plan.

Bought myself the 8bitdo pro controller, wow what a nice controller. IT will be my no1 from now on, better than my Razer & Elite Controllers.

The Software is amazing, macro's and enhancements are out of this world!

Anyone ever had issues like this:
*Not the camera and CRT flickering stuff, the color

Note that cables were changed without adjusting anything.

The only other time I came across something like this was with the N64 when using an S-Video connection.
The NTSC N64 works fine with the regular S-Video cables but the PAL console produces a washed out image.
The issue is that Nintendo, for whatever reason, left out components from PAL N64s needed to get a good s-video signal, so the Y and C from the AV-out isn't suitable. You need a specially modified S-Video cable to get around that problem.
But I've not heard of regular AV (Composite) cables on any Nintendo system having that same issue. So yours is a bit of a strange case.

Its a known problem of RGB. That is why Component cables exist (Also SCART) to kinda address the problem which it did not.

Also why you can change colours On OSSC to match your pref.

Fired up the old PS1. Enjoying a bit of the original Grand Theft Auto.

Hi Guys,

Any idea what i can do with these? The actual game boy does not seem to work anymore, i get a black line at the top of the screen but power light comes on. The three games are still good though. I`v had this in my cupboard for decades and it kills me to have to just throw them away.

I’ve got some broken ones lying about and may be able to make it work. How much do you want for them?

PIF dude, you could complete a collection by donating it!

Edit: Kinda neat for a mini, but honestly I still prefer my PS2 Phat mode with a 2 TB internal SATA SSD. Also a mini or slim for that matter would break the aesthetics I have going on here:

Quite busy myself this side. As MS Azure nie afkak nie.

Have been buying a few things from @Vernon .

Building up my collection. That reminds me to buy more :)
Lekker to play the old games. Currently every evening it is me and Animal Crossing or completing the Pokedex on Pokemon Box.

I need the Pokemon games for the GameCube so will be checking that out... not soon.

Moved to a European country in the past couple of months and where I couldn't find any old consoles, or really afford them, I am now in a position where I could buy them when they're available.
Got a shop at one of the malls here that sells old stuff. Games are dirt cheap, and the consoles they have come in fairly regularly.

When I buy my first one I will be sure to share it here!
