I am quite out of touch with all the new IT technology available now. My HP Envy 17 with i7 and 16 gb ram has been running for 8 years and think it's now time to upgrade as it is slow and gets hot quickly if I don't have a fan on it.

I want to game a lot without lag and fps drops and also want to edit and upload youtube videos quickly. What laptops do you guys suggest I should look at my budget is around R30000 or below if possible thanks.

Asus has quite a few in their ROG series you can look at, 30k can get you something quite decent. Ryzen might get you bigger bang for your buck.

Thanks for the suggestions do you have some links I can look at too. Not sure what websites I can trust to buy from.

I ran a quick search on Google on top of the usual, seems everyshop is running a special right now and they have quite a few models, this one popped out and it's exactly your budget.

This one is a beast, but not very portable

Nice thanks I already got a Lenovo for work which I take with me, this will just be mostly on my desk connected to my 40" tv, but still nice to take with for gaming.

Loads of bad stories on evetech, I personally had them delay an order and then obviously got a machine that was demo. That aside, the link you provided is good on the 2TB NVME, the RTX3050 vs 3060 is quite a bit of a downgrade, I wouldn't say that's a worthy tradeoff unless having storage is important.
Ye if I am going to spend a lot I want no nonsense so will probably skip evetech even though the size is nice

Dude, you missed a lot, everyshop is the new takealot competitor, you can trust them as much as takealot. They have been around for a few months, owned by JD which also owns incredible and hifi corp, they generally good with delivery time, very honest and products are as specified.

ye definitely, have not been around for many years glad to hear they good

Wootware have really good custom build laptops called Wootbooks - Tongfang chasis - see XMG(EU) for reviews.

Latest 11th gen i7 or 5 Series Ryzen, with a 3060 Nvidia for that price.
Just remember to add cost of SSD and Ram onto those initial prices.

I have a wootbook 10th Gen i7 and 3060 - really good bang for your buck (dont expect much from speakers or for this 10th Gen i7 battery life). runs a bit hot as 14nm die, would have gone with the Ryzen 5800H/i7 11 Gen if it was in stock when i bought.

In stock
Extreme 4 3060 (R27000)
Ultra 3 3060 (R28000)
Ultra 3 3070 (R33000)

I ended up ordering the Asus Rog on R29999 special today will see how long they take to deliver from Everyshop, they did say 3-6 days.

I regret buying from Everyshop, firstly they were meant to deliver today at my house then apparently sent my parcel to the wrong address instead of correcting it now they only sending it on the Monday. Their tracking system is also quite terrible don't think I will ever buy from them again, if they keep using Courier IT.

Was gonna say..... don't do it. After sales is where the catch is. Just imagine the pain you gonna sit with if you experience after sales problems.

ye exactly if getting the parcel is like this can't imagine if something goes wrong with the laptop and needs to be repaired.
