I have a Ryobi RG-6900K generator.
(230v / 50Hz / 5.5 KW rated output)
I am looking at buying the Kill A Watt meter to test the Hertz and Voltage supplied by the generator (and then tweak the rpms to match 50Hz as shown on generator).
Will the one below work:

Also, it says 3600 W max - will that be a problem seeing as though my generator is 5500 W?

Sure, that will work. You can connect it, just make sure the load that it is pulling is less than 16A (3600W)
