General coffee thread

Yeah I've tried to buy "cheaper" beans the last couple of months, but it all ends up tasting like dirt. I had some luck with Assagay Medium Roast but this last batch was horrific. Then tried another local roaster but he burned the damn stuff. Goedkoop is duur koop.

This is in one of those all in one machines where it even makes "tea" the last time I saw one of these was back at IBM in the yonder days, it tasted terrible than, it tastes terrible now.

could be worse - you could be having those ones that were swallowed by some monkeys and then partially digested then pooped out to be collected so they can land in your coffee cup

I'd give that a try actually, I mean I've eaten bugs before so who knows. It is washed and roasted so it's not like you're eating it directly after it's been pooped out. Though I think it's a civet not a monkey

I have some of this but with weasels.

It’s a pretty interesting taste, only problem is that it’s instant and therefore impossible to drink without milk.

So what beans do you recommend for someone with a cheap burr grinder and a Aeropress and a french press? Currently semi enjoying a Terbodore dark roast.

I would assume so, I go there push a button and it magically comes out... I mean are you telling me someone is intentionally putting in bad coffee beans?

I know it is Bleh, But right now an infinite botomless coffee on demand would be very much appreciated.....FML its cold.

Beans do go bad. Me and Redviking had a wee discussion about it after I could not get presure on the coffee machine. Bought new beans and everything as allright again.
