Dammit. Wish I had R28k now. But it is probably gone by now.
Get a 400mm f/2.8 - much more versatile. The 500mm is ok for cricket… and perhaps birding/wildlife if you're not really into real photography.
Your cheek must be getting rather large with all that tongue you keep in it?...

Okay, I get what you're saying. Agreed, the 400mm f/2.8 isn't a cheap lens but it's still worth looking for one.
