Which Plasmas have anti reflection measures?
I doubt there is anything after market you can do about it or is there
Apparently PS42C450 and PS50C450. The slightly older ones.
How is their performance in comparison to the new models?
How is their performance in comparison to the new models?
AFAIK it's the same panel as in the C430's so yeah.
How did you come to that conclusion?
From what I have read, the new D-series image quality is a bit better (I didn't do a detailed comparison in the shop). Also, the new range is much less prone to image retention.

Hi Guys,
I have been following for a while....I am busy in the process of buying a decent HD TV.
Looks like I am going for this: http://www.catsdigital.co.za/samsung-ua-40d6000-40-200hz-full-hd-3d-led-tv-t-b-a-.html
What do you think about this? I guess that the price is not too bad, considering that it used to be 25 grand a year ago?
I would be using it watching DSTV (SD) as well as HD content (Blu Ray, 720p/1080i from my Hard Drive) in 50/50 proportions.
Later on I am planning to upgrade mys system with a 3D BR player...only then I would buy the glasses.
My viewing distance is app. 2m.
What are your opinions? Can I go wrong with it?
40" is tiny...
my concern was the viewing distance...that it might become pixelated. I was considering a 46 before.
Yeah, personally for me, 40" is just fine from 2m. If you're predominantly going to be watching SD DSTV channels, theres little point is stretching the same 720x576 pixels across another 6" or 11".my concern was the viewing distance...that it might become pixelated.
Hello,
Can someone please give me the settings for optimal viewing please? I mean the colour / contrast / brightness etc. TAking in consideration that the TV is in my bedroom, and the room is not too bright. My screen looks very faded in a way - there is colour, but its like its not as bright. I have the setting on movie now - when its on standard it kinda looks blurry - and on movie setting its more smooth. Please give advice as to what settings will make the screen and colour crisp and clear. The tv in question is the Samsung 32" LA32D550
