So keeping the full weight of an adult man on someones neck for 8 minutes is perfectly survivable for anyone not on some drug, or with pre-existing conditions?
Well it certainly could contribute do their death .
Google shows some pics of kids in palestine having the same thing done to them and no deaths.
Seems to be a tactic to subdue possibly taught by his PD , this guy clearly was not aware how dangerous it can be if misused/etc.

No i mean contributed to , as the drugs and underlying conditions did too.
People are such snowflakes that if they released the toxicology and it showed he had enough fentanyl in him to kill a moose they would cry racist and burn more stuff.

your opinion.

here's mine:

or fully aware but thought he would have immunity from prosecution. case in point, he was making damn sure in those last 3 mins when the guy wasn't even conscious.

I sort of agree with the riot thing, it's over the top and unnecessary. Just like keeping your knee on someones neck was unnecessary.

Apparently the USA just another **** hole. Just like everywhere else.

Even if he had some underlying condition or substance abuse which might have made the asphyxiation more deadly than a healthy normal human being would've experienced. The dude chocked him with his knee for 9 minutes where he begged and pleaded he can't breath. He then continued a few minutes after George was unconscious.

I'm not sure why this argument even exists.

Oh you should see some of the other things he’s argued about. Police helicopters in Tasmania was just as hilarious.

If the rioters are “far-right white supremacists” why are liberal Hollywood elites bailing them out?

Am I supposed to extend compassion for other tribe?

It's a complicated situation. George had multiple underlying conditions and was intoxicated at the time of his arrest. He had multiple previous criminal acts against his name. Did the police contribute to his death? Yes. Were the police 100% liable for his death? No.

That being said, the media backlash and incitement subsequent riots and looting is just an excuse for barbarians to act like barbarians. A strong president would instruct the armed forces to immediately stop the rioting with permission to use lethal force in some instances. It will send a message that lawlessness is not to be tolerated. Thieves will always flourish in a place where there are weak leaders.
Never has a comment had so much that I agree and disagree with.

This whole thing is a clusterduck.

The vilification, denigration and gaslighting of peaceful protests carried out by taking the knee during anthems; by senior administration officials and conservative leaning media led to a fermentation of the feeling that no one is listening.

The fact that it took for the public release of videos of Aubrey's murder for the police to take action, in spite of having such information from the outset, led to a simmering of the feeling that no one is listening.

Then came George Floyd. A video showing someone not resisting, pleading for his life and the seeming indifference from the policeman and this alleged murder brought it up right to boil. The boil over comes with inflammatory rhetoric from administration officials, perception of a cover up (coroners report, delay in arresting the officer) and out right agitation from all spectres and spheres.

Now we have the most vociferous, divisive and destructive protests since the 1960's. Each side rushing to out post the other with their video or photo to boost their perceived narrative of what is happening. Fracturing further divides in the cultural and ideological divide that has seen prominence since 2015. Confirmation bias, cognitive dissonance and selective hearing are all well at play for everyone looking at this.

The white supremacists have been spoiling for moments like this. Accelerationist rhetoric from their prominent ideologues have long called for a race war.

Then the far left accelerationists and anarchists are spoiling for their fight and have also been longing for moments like this. Agitating and hiding amongst the legitimate anger and frustration of the people asking for their equal voice and recognition. Co=opting their voice for their own selfish views and intentions.

The melting pot of chaos and destruction is what drives the roots of revolution.

White nationalists and far-left anarchists (Antifa etc) have taken the profound words from Trump at the 2016 Unite the Right Rally in Charlottesville, where their were "very fine people" from both sides, as their way of muddying the waters of who is who in this chaotic ensemble of destruction. White Nationalists emboldened with their belief that Trump is "their guy", they feel that they can get away with fermenting discourse and destruction. There is no distinct face, no distinct uniform that identifies any side as one side. So they can carry out their destructive wishes and feel assured that either Antifa will be blamed, or they will be absolved as defenders of America for their actions.

Similarly Antifa can also take advantage of this and Trumps moral equivalence BS and they can just as easily play their game and hope that moderates and progressives will find favour in their own cognitive dissonance and blame the violent acts on the white nationalists.

In the end everyone looses. As violence begets more violence further incitement will only add more fuel to this raging fire. Congressmen threatening using the military to shoot American civilians will only embolden all asides of this war to escalate their antics to push their ideology and wishes.

Empathy, leadership and morality is lacking from the top and the vacuum of anarchy is filling that void.

Yup it is my opinion , cops can be bullies and murderers too .
My points are , lets not let the races of individuals cloud our judgement and we should always wait for all the facts before burning looting and killing others .
Pretty stone cold of those cops though , 4 of them involved and 3 actually on him but nobody said "hey lets pepper spray the crowd and guy we cant get control of and book it out of here."

Being told i'm a racist nazi, here's my opinion. That cop was wrong and deserve jail time.

What i don't get is why all you SA'ins are so interested in this ? Looking for a reason to join the looting or just pointing fingers at the white man ?
