George Floyd death

This we can agree on, the law should take it's cause. Thing is that that same law had video evidence of an incident of a bunch of guys shooting an unarmed black guy and it didn't take action until there was a big public outcry. So yeah, glad I'm not in orange fools shoes as this is a difficult situation all round.
You miss that this is usually a local thing not a federal one and in some cases not even a state one, orange man literally has no real direct authority over most of the country's cops.

BTW police brutality is nothing necessarily racial, there is long history of US cops abusing tazers. Tazing white grandma's in wheelchairs for "non-compliance" for example. And that incident where a trigger happy idiot accidentally shot a black teen I think because he thought he was using his tazer. In some areas it might be a racial thing but across the board cops are becoming more callous.

All the more reasons to not trust them. Our cops can be crap, but good grief you would expect the USA with all it's money would have good cops.

Rational is not something that is objective, it has always been subjective. The idea that it is objective is a flaw in human reasoning because it assumes that everybody that thinks like you is rational and everyone that does not is irrational..... this in itself is subjective thinking.

but dr freud, it was you who claimed the cop's behavior was rational:
He was still acting rationally and directed his actions with deliberation.
but dont sweat it, dr brown will be consulting at valkenburg later this afternoon, perhaps he could squeeze you in after your gardening therapy and help try unravel the ball of string in your head.
i'll arrange with nurse ratched to bring you up.

Apparently the generally are better, more cops mean more bad apples.... which is something to remember whenever someone says a large police force is a good thing.

There is also the long history of policing agencies abusing their authority, like how the ATF initially put pressure on the Waco cult because they needed a large bust to ensure funding.

Centralization of power never ends well. This is proven by local cops always being better than federal cops and then you usually have small town cops being better than city cops and so on.

You cannot ignore human nature. Also remember that none of us live in murica, we get one terrible image from the MSM and SA people that have done work over there give a completely different image sometimes.

Fentanyl Floyd was a violent criminal who pointed a firearm at a pregnant womans belly.
He spent time in jail for assault and robbery. He was convicted of theft with a firearm and robbery as well.
He tried to use fake money to buy goods just before his death ( Which can be argued for millions of hours about responsibility, but the natural law of live easy die easy applies).

Anybody who supports him is nothing more than a criminal sympathiser and a virtue signaller.

yes, but at the time, innocent until proven guilty should apply.

The punishment does not fit the crime.

What’s the relevance? Is it a contest to see who kills more or less? It’s just an odd thing to post.

Emjay gets killed by a shark. People start going on about how humans kill way more sharks every year than sharks kill people. Help me keep up?

The issue here is that police killing brown people is not as endemic as it seems, and is on the decline. It's relevant to the discussion.

No one made that argument. You chose to instead make up a little story in your head.

You do realise you can be against criminals like Fentanyl Floyd and against police brutality?

That's why we have due process. Because when someone calls a cop on a drunk guy with a fake $20 bill the police doesn't have all the information you just listed above. The police should then not execute him on the street. They should carry him into the police car and have a judge sort it out.

I am yet to see a single person here defend the criminal. Most are disgusted by the way he was killed on the street though yes. Quite a few are defending a killer though.

Fox News says it as it is
@rietrot says it like it is

Kneeling on a guys throat for 8 min is definitely attempted murder or at least assault, if he then happens to die during that it is definitely real murder.

It's basically a question of murder 1 or 2 in US terms.

Murder 3/manslaughter/ accidental killing is way to lenient and assumes the cop didn't realise his knee was on the guys throat for 8 minutes after he unnecessary pulled him out of the police car and threw him on the ground
