Sold my vinyl setup when I left SA. I don't have the cash as yet to get a pure analog system like I had in SA. I am looking at the Wiim Amp Pro to drive a Rega turntable. The Wiim has a ADC as input, apparently a very good one.

Is using a ADC and DAC's still the devil when it comes to analog inputs like turntables? Noticeable? If I had to replace my old tube setup it would set me back 5-6000 odd euro which is not likely to happen as I built that system over time.

Wiim Amp Pro
Interesting device, no idea on how it will sound with a turntable connected, how is the RIAA equalization achieved?
I’d wager with turntables it’s better to keep the preamp in the analog realm and then plug that into the Wiim or whatever amplifier you end up using. I’d never use powered speakers, they are clunky with all the wires and you can't switch speakers easily and if the built in amplifiers die your speakers go with them.
