Getting it today!!!

No, just the BT.

The phone is AWESOME!! It automatically linked with my GMAIL account after just adding pwd. still trying to get all my widgets and stuff sorted, but in all it is a great phone!

Almost but not really
Jailbreak is like getting Admin password to a windows PC, you can go delete and add files but you can not edit/change the preloaded binary files.
Erm, no?

Na something doesnt sound right there. Maybe switch off airplane mode if it is on that. Also see if you are having the same issues with wifi?

Welcome to Android :) if you use google services, its compatibility and convenience is unparalleled!

Thanks eshwar - flight mode is off and wifi connects fine. I have also restarted it a couple of times thinking it might be that, but nothing...

I must admit the convenience is amazing!

What part of "Is like" did you miss?

Tried a reset Haptic, didn't work... :(

Oh well back to the supplier then.

Oh well back to the supplier then.

As in a full reset? Switched phone off completely, and then switched it on while holding the 'volume down'-button, and then choosing 'Factory Reset' in the hboot menu? Assuming the operation to enter hboot is the same on the Razr as the other 'Droids I've dealt with of course...

If that doesn't sort it, I'd say it's definitely hardware.

I did the factory reset from the menu option under privacy. I did not do a full reset as mentioned above... Should I try that as well?

Naa, just take it back. Even if that was the case it should not be and leads me to think hardware problems.

I went to the supplier, I need to bring it in with box tomorrow - they are treating it as out of box failure.

Now I have to wait till next week Wednesday for my new one... :(

That is Bull? You picked it up this morning?

I would demand a swap out on the spot.

Picked it up yesterday arvie. The supplier does not carry stock and gets it from Vodaworld. I can take it there myself, but it is a bit of a drive for me.

Aaah ok, makes sense.

Was about to go all hello peter and all :)

Still sucks :(

:D

Thanks mate - but willing to wait for a phone that works properly. It is worth waiting for... ;)

Lol if it was me I would have driven through to Vodaworld from anywhere in Gauteng. I can't stand waiting for toys!
