Gregg Stirton is no fan of Telkom....

A year ago, Telkom announced with some fanfare they would be suing Stirton for defamation, copyright infringement, trademark dilution, child molestation, and anything else their lawyers could think of. In addition, they would be seeking from Stirton R5-million in damages.

whaaaaa? Of course I am! No need to hire comedies or leave the house for entertainment, I can get my kicks right here by reading the Telkom news.

We have our differences, but your site deserves to stay put right where it is, so I couldnt agree more with what has happened.

Hey Greg - just finished reading a nice article written by Hans Muhlberg in the latest noseweek - can't post it due to copyright issues, but some extracts:

This was being done for "strategic reasons", a well known corporate euphemism for "We've just seen some other big okes seeing their backsides and we're not really that keen to look as stupid."

In the light of all these developments it's hardly surprising that Telkom decided to back down. The only real surprise is that it took them as long as it did to act, but then again we would imagine that Stirton, like stoic phone users throughout the land, is quite accustomed to holding on.

Well worth the R27,80 just for the article alone...

Ummm... yup, didn't realise that it was a syndicated article - thanx. Save your bux, MaD, unless you're wanting to read up about the other shenanigans that Martin Welz loves to dig up...
 
well worth the cover price for any issue if you are interested in trifling matters such as the truth
