Gmail SMS Verify Codes Not Being Received ??

Google has now decided to force SMS verification on creation of new accounts, unfortunately for 3 days I have been trying to create a gmail account for a client but in 3 days and 15 attempts there is still no SMS verification code being sent.

Anyone else experience this?

Is this a Vodacom or Google problem?

I answered this question myself.

YES it IS a VODACOM PROBLEM !!!!

I changed the number to a Cell-C PAYG number I have and voila, took 3 seconds to get the code. Yet more revelations of the s*** like this hiding in Vodacom's network.

How many other SMS messages am I NOT receiving ??????

I don't get verification SMS on MTN either at the moment. But it's normally when logging into my Gmail account, and then there is always the "Call instead" button which I use.
