Go cheaper than Cell C's 66c per minute

Someone is going to say it so let me be the first: "Stand on your left leg between midnight and sunrise, point your antenna to the moon and use your right arm.."
 
All the hoop-jumping and add-ons is BS, I am going to use the Cell C 66c per minute.

But I have a S4 Mini Dual sim, so I still use Vodacom for incoming calls.
 
Interesting... Never realised you could get 25c with Cell C - I just CANNOT be bothered to even read about these ridiculous special offers anymore.

Same here, I prefer simplicity. 66c/minute meets my needs. Don't want expiry dates or T&Cs, just simplicity!

Just a quick note about a mistake on my part: I missed the T&C's on the SupaCharge vouchers which said the airtime can only be used for on-network minutes and SMS. I've amended the article accordingly.
 
Still I prefer 66c/m, don't have to watch expiry dates, just focus on business activities. Or even better - Sim Sonke 75c/25c pm, considered there is no OOB sharks when using data on the smartphone.
 
Cell C should adopt WYSIWYG as their advertising line.

Unlike millions of people I use my phone primarily to make calls. I pick it up, find the number and press the green button. I want to know what a call is going to cost me, not stand on my left leg, not figure out on what network someone is etc.

A fair number of people I call live outside SA. I call them as it is easier than using Whatsapp or email. It is an absolute pleasure to call without breaking the bank or subscribing to a service like Vodacom's.

Jan why was the Cell C R150 standard supacharge left out of the comparison?I feel that it should have been included as it offers the best value and is valid for 15 days.

I have recharged my wife with it and it gives you great value maybe it should be added to the article.
 
Just to put it into perspective,if you recharge with R150 you get your R150 airtime plus,400 cell c to cell c anytime minutes,plus 400 cell c sms's plus 400mb data.The biggest plus side is you get 15 days to use the extra's.
 
All this is just F'ing up the industry.
Yes the consumer benefits every month of promotions but long term one of them will go bust and we back to square one.
Everyone blaming ICASA etc etc.

We have 4 greedy providers at the moment, all with their "own" infrastructure, their own fibre, their own spectrum...
Bit of a waste in the macro scheme of things.

I agree,they should be sharing infrastructure,that way they can still make big money and also the network can be bigger with less outlay meaning prices can come down for consumers.It's a win win for almost all stakeholders besides network infrastructure providers.

Good on MTN and Telkom Mobile for taking a logical route forward.

If I ever go onto prepaid Ill just do the R300 a month recharge,comes with 900 cell c to cell c calls,900 sms's and 900mb of data valid for 30 days.
Makes you think, no contract right now can offer you anywhere close to that value for R300 or even R500 a month.

Just to clarify, did you recharge your wife, or your wife's phone? If the former, what kind of value did you get out of the vouchers?

The problem then who runs the equipment, who decides what to use?
Not as simple.

When Telkom wanted to be provider for everyone to share the costs, everyone cried fowl.

At the end of the communism never worked and so everyone for them-self.

The sim card to be exact.Cant recharge the phone either with R150 or money,I usually recharge it with electricity and as for the wife,eish they require a lot more than R150 to recharge unfortunately!:p
