Golf V GTi drivers

Did that for a good couple of months, 5 fines later and my front plate went back on.

5 fines
how much were the fines for?
Where in S.A are you? Durbs?
Was your front plate displayed on your Dash?
Did you try to sweet talk metro? :)

Yeah, 5!!!!
They where R250 or R200, can't remember. I had it on my dash twice i think when i got pulled over. I am in JHB.
I would have got much more than 5 but managed to, as u ask "sweet" talk my way out of it, excuses ranging from "the bumper has just been sparayed and i have to wait for the pain to dry properly" to "i was away this weekend and somebody nicked the plate"

I am gonna use Velcro though, will just pull it off when i go for those "spirited" drives

Car went in today again for the part that finally arrived (Megatronics box??).... anyways - it hasn't helped. Problem still persists. So I can go pick the car up and they going to get approval to replace the entire gearbox.... This is really sad.... 20k km later.... oh well:(

I went to see Preggie from FRC and they were kind enough to remove my previous software (which VW Fourways said they did already but hadn't) and the car is now truly back to stock and the gearbox jerking and slow gear change problem is now resolved. The car is smooth as when it was new... thanks FRC; it took you 5 minutes to fix what VW has been trying to do for 5 months!

Hi all,

Could some one please post Dynamic Autosport's contact details for me, I'm having similar problems as G5GTI05 is having.

(Jetta 5 2.0T FSI DSG)

Hi G5GTI05,

It was my choice, listening to you and the others obviously the other brands are a lot more smoother ie gear shifts in the DSG box are smoother, while with Upsolute there is a bump; I've also had quiet a few instances of dropping into "limp" mode; and at a certain spot on my drive home after I've been thru a corner and I want to accelerate out of the corner I have to manually switch back to fourth otherwise the response is slow as the ECU tries to establish that I've pushed the acce pedal to the floor.

The work was done in Wittkoppen. It is the brand of software they're using. These threads show GIAC software as being more superior. Hence the request for their details.

Oh ok, yeah I had the same issues. I went to FRC and its sorted now, waiting to upgrade again. let me know how you get on with GIAC.
