Golf V GTi drivers

A friend of mine bought a Golf V GTI last October. He used to drive a RunX RSI (written off after an accident).
He said as much as he gets everything from the GTI, he said his previous RSI never complained when he roughed it up. He's having some probs with his GTI - apparently it can't handle the punishment.

For one, the GTi cant handle high revs like the RSi, but it can handle punishment from a Toyota driver!:p

LOL. The guys is driver. He frequents a lot at Kyalami. So I'm talking a racer here.

Where did you see this?
It must have been quite a sight.
Sad about Seat pulling out of S.A though.
That Cupra is one wicked machine.

Drag racing during our fasting month, I dont approve of it or take part, I just watch!:p
But its getting worst and worst every year it seems.
Best race was a RS4 vs M3 vs C63, I didnt see who won but the RS4 sounded the best!!

That race was also done on Top Gear...

1st: C63
2nd: M3
3rd: RS4

But around the track, the M3 is a whole different beast!

I watched that episode. That drag race was awesome to watch.
The RS4 took off the best, but then the C63 easily passed the m3 and rs4.

Poor st driver can't drive :p

Beat a Golf V GTI on saterday on a standing start, he was half a car infront of me, we pulled of, end of 2nd I were half a car infront :p but then again, not sure if he was modded or not, but I suspect it's possible seeing that he was very 'windgat' behind me... lol

If only... you could hear the turbo, the silver GT with a red I logo at the back, honeycomb grill with the red gti badge on it, twin chrome exhaust tips. He had some Karthoums on his ride...
