I know how to get there from the N14/R28. Which route you gonna be using?

I'm def there. Not gonna be racing though.
From the Dome, prob around 60km. From Midrand it is just over 70km i think.

There are some guys leaving from VW on Hans Strydom at around 07:30 if u wanna catch a convoy
 
A friend of mine had his Golf GTI taken up to 177kW. Did a validated 0-100 test run in just over 5. Must say it drives pretty nice. Is manual, not DSG.

Hhf 2008 was brilliant. Well organised, great weather, awesome cars. Dont know the official result, but VW definetly wiped out most of the competition. Dont think the ST Guys were too happy. :)
 
so few comments about HHF.... Anybody race?times?wins?losses? I was in DBN for business and missed out! How that sucked... :(

I didnt race though, just watched :)
Fastest GTI for the day did a 13.9, he had a K04 Turbo though.
Second fastest GTI was a 13.97 K03 turbo with lots of mods.
ST's were disapointing, one even broke down while racing.
Felt sorry for the guy though, must have been tough seeing your car towed
away from the track.
The GTI shootout was great. Dont think i've ever seen so many GTI's in one spot. Will try and post some pics soon.

There were really nice looking women around too :D

Hey Bud, i was there but did not race. Only got there after 11 though. The GTI's where Def the fastest Hatch of the day. The most impressive for me was the FRC Polo GTI, he did a 13.95 i think and that car sounds CRAZY!!!
There where quite a few other fast Exhibition class cars, the CRX, Uno Turbo, turbo Mk1's --> i loved the silver MK1 with the porche rep wheels.
There was also a GT28 equipped Golf V GTI but apparently was not running lekker. Was a good day of racing especially since VW took the Hot Hatch Title.

Also felt sorry for the guy with the white ST, apparently he launched too hard and broke the outer CV or something.

That Polo was super quick, he was taking out OPC's, GTI's, ST's without even trying. The silver MK1 was awesome.
Yup, was sad to see the ST being towed away. Was a well organised event.
Will definetly go again next year.

The FRC Polo is very quick! The best part is I dont think he has serious mods, just the basics, chip, decat and downpipe... I could be wrong though!

Regarding the ST, that was the MK1 biggest problem lol, launch hard and you tear the chassis or CV joints or something breaks, glad to know its not only MK1 that suffer from that lol!

The driver of the FRC Polo really knows how to launch his car well, and he has amazing reaction time. Coupled with his mods and the fact the Polo is light, makes for a super quick car. :)
