Yes, I took a spin in a Golf 6 GTi manual two weeks ago.
Absolutely fabulous. It's a brilliant car and when you're in the car, it does feel like you're in something much more expensive.
Definitely my next car.

G6 GTI
guys i have just been to my test drive...
firstly i don't own a G5 GTI, i only test drive them...
i think VW could have done better. i can safely say that i'm disappointed in the G6GTI, i think if i was in a market for a GTI then i would go for a nice G5 GTI and add some mods to make it a bit faster...
i think most the G5 GTI drivers will be very disappointed, i do think however someone who is new to the market will buy the G6 GTI as it's the latest GTI... the power is not that great from a G5 GTI...
i think what the G6 GTI has done is kill the value of the G5 GTI so that people like us can get some nice deals
there is not much change between the 6 and the 5, so i think if one gets a 5 then later you can get a body kit of the 6, then you will have the 6. it's more the looks than anything else that has changed...

Errrm stupid post of the day...
Theres alot of changes to the MK6.... to many to even mention.
In terms of value for money.... dont buy a RS4 just buy the S4 and make it faster....

Im not a die hard like some, some have have changed their MK5s for the new BWA MK5.... exact same car, rumoured to have 169Kw on tap. Im sure they will go for the MK6.

I'll take that as a trick question. You see, I need to fit 2 car seats + 2 kids at the back, so a 7 seater is badly needed. My only options are one of the following...
1) Prado
2) Land Rover
3) X6 ( not a fan off)
4) R-class ( Really not a fan off)
5) Toyota Fortuner
Taking out one of the seats in the boot is a must, i know Prado & Fortuner allows for that, have to check on the others now ...

What's all this Revo/GIAC talk...pay less than half the price of a GTi for a low km Alfa Romeo GTA - 184 raw kw! GTi's from FRC can't even see a standard one, let alone a modified one from Dawie DeViliers!
GTA' are not as common as GTi's. had 147 GTA 3.7 up against a whole host of big guns, e90 M3, Merc sl55 AMG - FERARRI 360...lol these things don't come close! You boys play with foolish ST/OPC/GTi toys don't even get me started on the BMW toys...GTA 3.7 kills them off!!!
Let's not talk about the 3.8 156 GTA OMG! Or the 3.7 GTV that kills of M3s for fun...car lenths people, car lengths. The day an OPC/ST/GTi can kill a M3 benchmark...you can talk. Other than that, get the GIAC for fun or to fit in the already boring crowd. Oh...I do love the sound the GTi's make that come from preggie!!! That instantanious fart sound, don't even talk about the 09 S3 from Preggie...but still can't kill of a e46 M3 fiddled with only intake and exhaust...ooooh If you dont' know you better ask somebody!
But it is true what's been said on this thread...GTi clutch gremlin goes the moment you get that GIAAC power, coz its so adictive, friend had his modded + DP + FMIC + Full oetinger exhaust...joh, everywhere you go you want to floor it, and THAT's how the clutch goes...if you looking for raw power and exclusivity, a 147 GTA on Eibach's and a set of 19" BBS CH/Le Mans and a Ferarri throttle body and exhaust and remap is your bet...!!!!
