Another one who can't understand the difference between being an ardent supporter and being against censorship. Still waiting for anyone to prove it's racism. Also it's very much an attack on Afrikaans people. I don't see other people being affected by it besides those that appear with him.
Funny how all of the new accounts, single purpose accounts, and one post wonders are suddenly popping up in support of MC's actions. That says a lot more about them and their supporters than about the Steve supporters.
Plenty of examples of black private individuals who spread racism yet get off with a slap on the wrist. If I'm not mistaken one or two were actually MC employees in a way yet nothing happened to them.
Again I draw attention to the fact. First person with a R150k fine a white women. First person to get a 3 year prison sentence for crimen injuria again a white woman. Sadly I don't expect the same ruling to ever apply to blacks.
For good reason. ANN7 was directly using MC to spread propaganda. It became a liability from a financial perspective. There was also allegations of irregularities both with the initial contract and the renewal. Compare apples to apples.
One doesn't need a judgement form any council to know that Stevie is bad for the future of this country and needs to be rejected absolutely. Every mouthpiece he has needs to be muted, he doesn't stand at all for a new South Africa, however prefers one that is split with privilege provided to a few.
By saying that this is an attack on Afrikaans people straw mans the argument, and convinces the masses to get behind the cause because they themselves are being attacked, even though it has nothing to do with them. If this was a banning of all KykNet channels, maybe, however it isnt so Nooit bru!
You get people behind a cause even though it has absolutely nothing to do with them, their views or beliefs. It assumes that all Afrikaans people share his views, which they don't, actually some reject him vehemently. People who see that just because I am Afrikaans doesn't mean I'm "right-wing", nor do I have to support something done in "my name" or for "my people".
Our responsibility remains to remove all elements that seek to divide us, rather seeking those that unite us, as a generation it is deeply engrained within our purpose, simply put - "dit is one erns"
