so recently i just stopped wow, because i have no time to raid at nights because of my studies, and everything besides raiding has become really stale and boring. ive played wow since 2006 so im not really sure what are the other good mmo's out there...

ive tried getting into GW2 but just leveling alone was so boring and repetative having your spells decided by what weapon you equip felt really boring, but i gave it a try till lvl 32 tried out the dungeons that seemed even worse. i didnt like the fact that theres no dps/heals/tank system in that game also

so besides GW2 and Wow anything thats worth playing?

I'm really enjoying Elder Scrolls Online at the moment. I am a huge TES fan though.

I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons Online for years already and it's F2P with the option of going Premium or VIP.

I also stopped playing WoW a few years ago when I started part time studies. I just feel I won't pay a monthly fee for something I can only spend a few hours on, so I would say try and find a free to play game that you enjoy.

I have played:
LOTRO: was fun if you like the lore, but I think recently you had to start paying for new content (haven't played this in a year or so).
SWTOR: also fun if you like the Star Wars universe.
POE: Playing this atm, quite difficult to get into, and you might not like the equipment/spell setup.
Rift: Interesting game mechanics, but I didn't play for long.

The guys who made Rift also have another MMO that got good reviews, ArcheAge. I started playing it but have not gotten far.

Why does it need to be an MMO?

not really just a game to sink my free time into :P single player games tend to be finished in a day or 2 so xD FPS games ive got CS:GO and CoD advanced warfare, im like shooters jst not that good at them so i dont play that often

Eve Online is brilliant, but also time consuming and subscription based. But addictive.

Eve is like a drop dead georgous girlfriend that makes you the most delicious dinner proceeded by the most amazing sexy time one day then rips off your testicles and sleeps with your 20 best friends the next day.

Play it - you will love it .... and hate it...

Give The Witcher 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Pillars of Eternity a go. Many, many hours locked up there.

I will 2nd SWTOR, had ome very fun times with it.

If you are brave enough, you can give Eve a bash, I personally rate Eve as the best MMO that I have played..... but darn-it it can be ruthless at times.

preferably online games i beat witcher in about 3 days, DA inquisition in 2, pillars of eternity havnt really given it a try but give me a weekend and i can probably finish it xD im not really the completionist type i just run through the main story line and ignore the side quests unless theres some good loot from it :P

SWTOR seems really nice but i noticed all the restrictions on F2P acc's not being able to sprint being 1 of them that is going to piss me off i can already see it happening xD

You sir are missing the point of roleplaying games. It's about doing the side quests. DA Inquisition in 2 days? It's got 100 hours of gameplay without touching everything!

Doesn't sound like you're actually interested in playing games. Just looking for a pointless time sink.

Real Life

Pros:
- The graphics are ultra-realistic
- Fully immersive gameplay (no Occulus Rift required!)
- Massive open world
- No loading zones
- Extremely low latency
- F2P - No locked content, although difficulty level is a random setting at character creation that you cannot change
- True sense of risk, Eve Online style. All of your assets can be lost and/or stolen.
- Completely player driven economy
- Can be enjoyed casually or you can go hardcore.
- Free DLC. I'm really looking forward to the space-travel one myself, but chances are my account will have expired by the time it releases :(

Cons:
- Consumes your life, even more so than WoW.
- Most professions are very grindy
- Steep learning curve
- No respawns
- No save/load function
- Extremely limited avatar customisability
- No clear path to the romance options
