Chrome can only compete with Firefox if it starts to support FireFox plugins.

The plugins for Firefox is what makes Firefox irrreplacable.

Without the plugins, it would just be a matter of personal preference if you used Safari, Chrome, Opera or Firefox (note IE isn't in this list on purpose because its so far behind the rest of the pack in terms of standards)

I would be lost without AdBlock Plus, FireBug and GMarks.

I've been using Chrome since the first release and before that I used Firefox. I tried Firefox again the other day but it just doesn't feel as fast or as streamlined as Chrome.

I'm using Privoxy in place of AdBlock Plus.

Chrome is just so clean and it works so well. I can't see myself changing to other browsers any time soon.

If Windows is your choice, then maybe you have a browser choice. However, if Windows is of passing nature to you, just use Firefox - it understands Windows, Ubuntu, Puppy and numerous other Linux distros.

I beg to differ.

I am running Chrome 4 on Ubuntu 9.04 and could never go back to Slowfox.

Some web sites claim that Chrome on Linux = 5 X the speed of Slowfox, but I think they were very modest.
