Have tried Chrome over a period of time but had some compatibility issues on occasions, particularly with secure sites such as SARS nad banks.

Use FF or as a last resort IE8 now.

To be honest, I've found Opera to be one of the best browsers lately. Has the speed of Chrome, but has so much more built in functionality.

Chrome rocks! I hardly ever use FF anymore.

Even though I would love to use Opera or Chrome full time, I am stuck with FF, because it has the best JavaScript debugger known to man: firebug.

I can't live without that plugin.

To me, nothing beats FF so far.

No other browser gives me the power to download videos and links with a download manager in a couple of seconds an a few clicks.

Have to give credit to IE as a browser. It's still the only browser where every single website works correctly compared to the others.

Chrome all the way. When it has a compatibility issue, which is rare, I fire up FF. Chrome just starts up so much quicker and is a far smoother experience than other browsers give.

True - I still use FF for firebug and liveheaders. Its a pity there's nothing like that for Chrome (yet)

Lol. No. IE is the worst when it comes to compatibility.

The only reason most websites look correct in IE is because the web developer did the long hours and the ugly hacks to make it work in IE.

As a developer I can tell you that IE makes my life hell.

I use chrome for everyday browsing, but revert to FF for banking & video downloads. Plus I have IE because some of the work ESS functions will only work on that.

Chrome for me all the way!! I made it my default browser everywhere. I love the simplicity and speed and it just works. When I do come across an incompatible website I just run it in FF or IE, but that is becoming very rare these days. Besides that is a flaw in the website, not in the browser.

I used to be a FF fan, but it became way too bloated and slow and I really don't want all those extensions and everything. I could start firefox and then a second or two later start Chrome and load about 3 or even 4 full websites in Chrome before FFs window appears. This is with just one or two extensions in FF and updates disabled. Crazy slow. The latest version of FF loads much quicker now, but it's too late... I'm already addicted to Chrome. :)

I also tried Opera and tried to like it, but that is crap. Uninstalled it soon afterwards.

I don't know how well it compares but Chrome has some developer tools built in. I use it occasionally to inspect elements, etc, but have no idea how it compares with firebug, etc.

I would love to switch to Chrome. but there are so many add-ons that i would miss so much after moving. anyone know if there is a way to move add-ons over from firefox to chrome? doubt it but worth asking.

I wonder who in their right mind in this day and age still uses IE as their main browser . . . .other than workers behind firewalls that are blocked from using anything else

erm, only if you only go to ABSA. IE is the worst, most buggy piece of crap software ever. The best thing MS could do for humanity is to stop making browsers

Chrome all the way! Love it. Only use FF for debugging web sites. Firebug rocks
