I did, and you posted an old article in 2022 without being due diligent, and now you are grasping. Google simply updated their transparency clauses, and extensions would be required to display their privacy practices starting January 18th. Your article didn't mention this, neither did it mention any date. Do your homework.

Thats the big question. Does it affect Chromium or does it affect Chrome as an app only?

Firefox is not a Chromium browser.

Personally I enjoy Edge currently since it runs on Chromium engine but has less bloat.

Still old news and clickbait. Ublock Origin will most likely find workarounds https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock-issues/issues/338.

They are also adopting MV3 but will continue to support ad blockers

Mozilla will maintain support for blocking WebRequest in MV3.

Brave, at least, has already said that they will retain V2.
For how long, who knows.
