I'm not having any issues. Have you tried uninstalling updates to carrier services, reboot, and then checking if it works? Once it's connected, you can update carrier services again. That usually helped me when I had issues connecting to the chat services.
Hmm, then maybe just give it a while for it to do its thing. I sometimes had to wait a day for it to connect, so it could just be Google being stupid, but hopefully it sorts itself out soonThis phone did actually not have carrier services installed. Worked before without it also. I had installed it earlier this morning when I read on google about the carrier services. Rebooted. Cleared cache from the app. Tried uninstalling app completely and starting from scratch. Nothing works. I had sent a fault via the "send feedback" option in the menu. Will see if they do anything about it.

Are you using the Google Messenger app or the built-in one? For the built-in one the network needs to tell the manufacturer to activate RCS on the device. It's a weird backwards system.

Hello guys. I know most of you dont use it or dont know about it. Those that do, any of you having issues with it not connecting to the RCS Chat service? My one phone is connected, but the Huawei P10 Lite simply wont. I have tried everything that Google recommends in their support pages.

I have a Huawei GR5 (very similar to the P10 lite) which I am running Lineage OS 16 (Android 9) and I am also having difficulty connecting to RCS chat services with the Google Messages app.
Do let me know if you do manage to activate/register RCS messaging please.
Thank you

I factory reset my LG V40 last night, due to unrelated reasons, and now I'm having the same issue, lolTrying it now in my Lenovo Zuk Z2, and still having the same issue. It now again says I have reached the maximum number of tries and need to try again tomorrow. bleh
The Samsung A51 work phone is connected fine to it. Though a few weeks ago I also struggled to get it connected. I gave up on it and it seem to have connected itself again at some stage. Google really needs to put their big girl panties on if they want to compete with the other services out there. You would think a company like Google would get this right, but then again their messaging attempts have always been a fcking mess.

U use Samsung? My work Samsung A51 does not come with carrier services. I can download it in Google play though. It works though without it. My other number I have downloaded carrier services manually and even with it installed it just won't work.I just got my chat features connected againI had an update for Carrier services not too long ago, so I just decided to do a retry in messages, and now it's working again.

No, I'm using the LG V40 on Android 9. Mine came preinstalled with carrier services, as well as my Huawei P30 Lite. Both are currently connected.U use Samsung?
