OK well my last attempt at spoofing the system as failed. Google cancelled the chromecasts orders after 2 days. Just waiting for my virtual american credit card to be issued now. Im just hoping that they don't need an exact billing to shipping address match, and that they don't phone.

Probably not, given the low uptake of the Nexus 7... Disappointed as well, I tell you...

OK well the virtual credit card is working and I managed to buy 2 songs. Just loaded up some more money on the card, need to wait for that to clear, then Ill test with the 5 Chromecasts.

I fail to see the problem. The price is exactly the same as as the Nexus 4 (not to mention, less than half the cost of any other flagship smartphone on the market).

I always thought the 16GB N4 model was 299$, now the N5 16gb is 399$, with the 32Gb model costing 449$. Sure it's still cheap compared to competition but they have raised the price.

Ok guys, the USunlocked virtual US credit card is not working. It buys music but it doesnt allow devices to be purchased. Puts the account on hold and asks you to update your payment information.

Now Im stuck. Any ideas?

I was hoping you would get it working because I was planning to use the same trick to get a Nexus 5 when it gets released. I have no idea what you could do to fix this problem. I tried some tricks a while back with Entropay and Google Music and it failed miserably.

I know someone at work that is going to the US later in the year. I'll try to get him to buy one for me. Just need to find the cash so long...
