All specs i have seen indicate is a 2300mAh battery??
Yup, that's what I read too. And the only complaint I have seen about this product is the battery

I expect there will be a Nexus 5 2014 edition by January or Feburary next year.
Let's face it, the battery life on this phone is terrible. Been reading reports/user opinions/feedback from a few sources, and it looks like Google has skimped on the wrong hardware this time.

Correct.
They could have at least used a 2600mAh battery (like in the Galaxy S4), or what about the G2's 3000mAh battery?
But no, instead they opted for a 2300mAh battery, which I suspect, is from an older phone.
Update : Looks like LG went with the battery they used for the LG G Pro Lite. It's a 3140mAh.
The software handles the battery pretty damm good to be honest
thanks stoozak
guys that have the phone, how have you been finding it? just read about some horror stories with ppl having shattered screens from the smallest of drops and from even just resting their phone on their screens!!
wats ur guys experience been?
Dropped mine on a tar road yesterday, survived fine. Ringke Slim case, screen protector both installed. But note that the sorts of links you offer are always going to emphasise the disaster scenarios - people drop phones all the time, but wouldn't bother reporting it unless there's a break. The N5 has a rubberised back as opposed to the glass back and front of the N4, so it presumably has to be more robust.
Nexus 5...haha obviously because of this thread I'm in haha....but serious out of everything I just dig the devices support for android updates straight away and the pure android...g2 can get stock android but why pay the extra for I think its a better battery and sound, maybe the camera too
im fairly new to andriod , had a Note 2 and hated the flooded / bloat with widgets etc.
when 4.4 is released for the LG G2 will it also have the clean andriod or will it be customized from LG?
tnx for your replies
Will be fill with what LG adds and what Samsung adds....give a stock. Device to my parents and they will be lost but with the s4 they comfortable its because that's how these companies sell their devices, what the ads of them and see what they show off specially Samsung's ads. If your new to android and you like the stock experience (can be researched by search and watching the nexus 5 videos on youtube),this will give u an idea of the stock experience... Anyways LG are going to do what they do with the bloat and it often effects the performance of the device....stock android can be put on the LG G2 but that means rooting the device and flashing a custom ROM even then the updates to android will never be as quick as they are on the nexus devices....
In my opinion if your comfortable with android and like the debloated OS then nexus is defiantly your choice with the two having the same processor its a good idea to check them both out in some comparison videos on YouTube might help your idea too...
Like I said I love stock and nexus has been thee device for me...
