Google Nexus 5

Customs fees are usually luck of the draw. Don't think that you will get a fixed figure on that.

It should be fixed amount. Following the link http://www.sars.gov.za/Legal/Primary-Legislation/Pages/Schedules-to-the-Customs-and-Excise-Act.aspx you can find tariff book with fees for different type of imported goods. I've tried to receive assistance from customs support on this document - no success :)
That is why I would like to hear couple of factual cases with this particular phone - how much it is going to cost to bring the phone in the country.

Thanks.

Whether it should be a fixed fee or not, makes no difference. Customs don't apply it that way- there are a number of threads where people confirm this.

I see mxplayer has an update that includes support for the latest 4.4.2 update.

Ja, had to revert back to vlc until the update came . my toddler was shattered, could not figure out why his videos was not working

Hey guys can someone help me with shipping. I bought a nexus 5 from Australia and it was shipped here with a courier but now it seems to be locked in customs. What can I do?

Contact the courier company, ascertain the customs charge, pay it, and get your phone...
