Wonder if any play store users have noticed this peculiar store error. The store version updated recently to version 19.6.25-all[0] [PR] 305383---- wherein all app icons are blank except eBooks, tried factory reset that did not fix the problem. The phone is running Android 9 on the Android One program with upgrade to 10 due in May 2020. The store still functions in spite or this display. See screenshot.

EDIT: If you tap on the version number under settings it should update to this version as well.

Thanks, tried unfortunately did not change the status. I suspect the problem will disappear after Q update later April/May 2020 for this Nokia Sirocco combined with Apr security update. Just my thoughts. I might be wrong @backstreetboy please advise - thanks.
 
I've exactly the same problem on my Nokia 1. Waiting for play store to fix this as everything still works like normal just graphics in play store are missing/blank.

Yes ,i have this same issue , with all my devices ,eg Note 10+ , Note 9 , Note 8, Galaxy Tab A etc etc .
All of them were working fine no issues ,until recently / few days back ..!!!
I have cleared Play Store , cache ...data ..rebooted over and over .!!!!
At one stage , it loaded the apps thumb nails ,but soon afterwards it all disappeared again.!!
Very annoying issue ,as you cannot browse the Play Store at all .
I have to use my laptop .
First thought it was a Vodacom issue ? ,but later decided ,it could also be /most probably ,a Play Store issue . ??

Strange thing is, that i have not seen ( recently /presently ) any mention of this issue ?
on any International forums .....eg XDA ..Reddit ..etc
If you Google this issue about disappearing ,
Play store thumbnails, not loading ,yes it goes back many years ...eg 2012....2013...???
but no present reports ...?
( plse note ,i might be wrong ??)

Your post /thread was the first one ,i found ....!!!
Could it maybe be Service Provider issues ,as i have all Vodacom ,devices ???

Bottom line ...
So reading above and my own experience with this issue , it appears / fact ,
across different devices and different Android o/s ......!!!
eg Note 10 + is on Android 10
Note 9 is on Android 10
Note 8 is on Android 9
Galaxy Tab A is on Android 8.1
So its not Android O/S version issue , but either Play Store issues .. or Service provider related ?

Yep mine is blank as well. Doesn't matter if I'm in WiFi or 3g

My strong suspicion, it only occurs on Vodacom.?
@Dave post above that does not have this issues, as far as i can remember he is not on Vodacom.. (Mtn or Telkom.?yes.. not sure.)

My conspiracy theory
is that Vodacom is "quietly" throttling/?
the loading of thumbnails.?
To save/ control, maybe bandwidth.. or something?
Yes this happens on 4 G or Wi fi.
Also only on mobile devices.?
My laptop loads fine!

Think.... one of most used /visited /apps, is Play Store.?
Everyone or most is sitting at home and on their phones?
Bored looking on Play store for something..?
Thumbnails loading takes a bit of data when loading.

However, i don't really think it's a Play Store issue as such, as it would be reported in other
international forums?

Also this issue of thumbnails not loading
occurred on all my devices, at same time /day..!
I tested all my devices to make sure it's not device related.!
All my devices suddenly had this issue of not loading.!
Strange , sneaky.. .... the throttling..! )

I think the first response, will be to suspect Play Store.!
I did.
However after Googling, for new/recent
"incidents " (over past few days)
I found nothing on other international forums
apart from MM.

Then after i checked my devices etc (as above post)
I looked at the big picture..
No reports in other international forums eg XDA
and Reddit (that I'm a member) about Play Store issues.

You have issues with Play Store, you report it to Google.. Yes.
However, what is strange it is only appearing
locally on Vodacom platform.?
For me this points to Vodacom.
All my devices are stock different Android OS, software etc.. one thing in common..
All is Vodacom..!

I'm not so sure.
How would Vodacom have control over a WiFi connection on the back of a Vumatel fibre line, on a device that has never seen a Vodacom SIM card? (this is my current setup, exhibiting the same problem)
DNS related, maybe?

firstly
i said in my post ,"i might be wrong ......."
secondly, i can only say what my experience is ,with all my devices ...eg all my different mobile devices "suddenly " don'tt want to load thumbnails etc .

I am a few times daily on the Play store etc .
I never had any issues or update Play store app etc etc
Suddenly and i checked all of them had the same issues etc
My Devices Note 10+ ,Note 9 ,Note 8 Galaxy Tab A and aslo checked now my Note 5...?
All on Vodacom...... different Android O/S..... different devices etc ..
For me its only mobile relate .My laptop accessing Play store is fine .!

Further i cannot find any recent discussions/reports in an international online forum ,
only locally ...this thread .!
So it has to be something ..local ?
I gave my reasons and stated either, its the Play Store app or Service provider ( ...in my case Vodacom )
If i look at the big picture in my case ,it points to Vodacom ..Not Play Store...!..or is there another explanation ..?
If you have an explanation ,would love to hear it as i/others ,can fix it .

Bottom line
i don't want to get into technical discussions .eg ..how and what etc .
I use Adguard DNS ,for many years no issues .!
Your issue might be related/connected and i would be interested , if you can "connect all the dots " for me ..!
As stated ,i might be wrong ,which is fine with me !!
i' just want to get an explanation/solve this annoying issue !!
..... as factory resetting devices ,clearing cache ,clearing data , does not help ..!
