Android 14 will block sideloading old apps

Google's next mobile operating system (OS), Android 14, will block the side-loading of apps targeting older versions of the software to prevent the spread of malware, 9to5Google reports.

The company recently updated the guidelines for the Google Play Store, requiring newly listed apps to be compatible with Android 12 at a minimum.

*cough* Apple *cough*

*scratches balls* @backstreetboy
Each platform has pro's and cons - and if they had to magically blend, it would be ideal.

Sideloading has never been a thing for me - and I prefer that part of iPhone allowing 'approved' software. I also prefer them updates and that everyone gets at the same time. The updates used to be an issue for me .

But Android has some nifty features. For example, you can sort pictures!

I’m well aware. I was trolling BSB who loves to circle jerk on *every* Apple thread.

What "Malware"?
Who are these billions of users suffering from "Malware" on Android?
