Grim Dawn

Been playing Grim Dawn for about a month and I'm having a blast. I don't usually enjoy ARPGs but I am playing around with my third different build now.

I picked it up on sale for $20 and it was definitely worth that.

I would wait for the next release which is introducing another layer to build customization though. (Devotion.)

Tipped to be a November release from what I have read online. thinking of getting it while its still in early access, as I am sure there will be some little extras for those who supported them before the official launch!

Not going to be November.

Don't see it being released officially before 2016.

Ye I'm up for this. Would be lekke to do some co-op with the boys
 
I do enjoy GD.

The thing I really enjoy about games like this, where customisation is pretty high. I like to come up with a passive build. One that I can mostly just run along and loot things. Not because I dislike the A in ARPG, but because I figure that if the game has enough depth and variation to allow me to fudge out a build that can passively reflect/pet it's way to the end game, then it has been well designed in my view.

So far I have found one or two builds that can do this. At least in the early-ish levels. I haven't really gone too far with any one character though.
 
I downloaded a version this weekend for testing (haven't got the chelete to buy a copy now) which is probably not the latest version but just to give me an idea and its quite good.

After the diablo 3 fiasco i wont buy a game again just because of its name and someone else says it good.

Reviews/Feedback looks pretty good. I'll give it a go at the R175 discounted price (suck it Steam with your Rands haha, now I have to convert everything back to $ to know if I'm scoring or not!)

Not overly impressed myself. Just like with PoE I can't help but feel the gameplay and feel and even Gfx of the game does not come close to Diablo.
Obviously there are other things in that games that is great to have, but gameplay and feel comes 1st for me
 
Ok after 8 hours of gameplay and I got up to level 27, the game is really cool. Lots of depth into skills, devotion, gear and story.
The game starts of quite slow and only now it starts to bloom when you get your head around everything.
I'm loving it so far!
 
Level 12, enjoying it, just want the quests to be better managable ie "go here", "do that" would like an arrow pointing where i should be
