GTA 5 PC

Mine had 60 minutes left to complete the download via steam this morning, but I had to leave to go to work. Life can be so unfair

have about 30 hours of download left. power went off this morning though so now I can only resume when i get home this evening :/ looks like i'm only gonna be able to play on Sunday (hopefully)

Game running on Maximum for me :D

i7 2600k @ 4.5gHz
AMD 7950 3GB - Game uses 2.8GB
16GB Ram (Game uses 2GB on idle)

1080p Resolution.

Patiently waiting for Mods.
Don't think there will be much improvement with ENB. Game looks great already.

I've got the same CPU, good to hear.

My goddam graphics card died on me the day after the game came out.

It's the third R9290x that's died on me. I'm so done with AMD. Their drivers are crap and I'm cursed with their hardware. I've never had a problem with an Nvidia card before, but have constant problems with AMD.

GTX980 arriving on Monday :D

So i logged into social club an hour ago and there is this 350mb update, which gets all the way to the end and then tells me the Rockstar update service is unavailable (code 1), anyone else sitting with this problem? It was working fine yesterday.

I see no punches were pulled with the replacement :D
Currently have the 9280X which has been working exceptionally well for me... Even GTA is running 90% maxed out.

If nVidia were a little cheaper with their comparitve AMD cards, I'd probably stick with them :(

Ya...in all fairness I could have saved myself a fair amount of money and gotten a GTX970 and still maxxed it out, but I was raging at the time and made an impulse-buy :P

Expensive as hell, but relatively future proof, and apparently works very well in SLI if I ever decide to go down that route. All the reviews say that the 980 is an excellent, efficient, solid card. I've had good experiences with Gigabyte hardware as well, so happy days.

EDIT: If I could go back in time to before I got the 9290x, I would have gotten the 9280x like you got. Apparently that's an excellent card at a good price point. It also doesn't have many of the problems that are plaguing the 9290x.

It seems they broke the game for some of us.

Same here.

Seems I am having problems with major frame rate drops and slow downs, it was better before this patch. GTX980
