Halaal restaurants

Hygiene standards at a lot of halaal establishments are naff. I think the chances of bacterial contaminants are significantly higher than for a lot of halaal friendly places. That's just my opinion though

Separate issues, we not talking about bacterial contamination (which is possible in most if not all places). Again if there is doubt (which they definitely is) then it should be avoided as there are many halal owned and certified restaurants alhamdullilah.

You don’t get a good steak at a Muslim owned place. Also the quality of ingredients is an issue eg many Muslim places use margarine instead of butter etc.
What constitutes “contamination” in any case?

I disagree on the steak part.

Contamination- chance of non halal ingredients contaminating the "halal-friendly" food

By the previous definition it's halaal meat , but alcohol served. So no pork.

Those glasses are crystal clear and clean, as opposed to the from schit you get at some halaal places.

Anyway, it's personal preference. Everyone to their own

Eating at a halal place or made up so called "halal-friendly" is not personal preference but what is allowed.

You mean a sticker on the entrance? And a certificate posted next to the till? Is that what's allowed?

How that sticker actually makes anything actually halaal.

This is not the thread for this discussion, so I will stop here
Sure, me as well. Just for further info if you'd like is that the certification bodies are made of some learned scholars and make sure that what is eaten is slaughtered correctly, No pork basting brushes in kitchen etc.. Our duty as Muslims is to make an effort that what we eat and earn is halal.

A Hadith of Nabi (saw) goes something to the effect “ do not eat at any table where alcohol is served” so eating at any establishment where alcohol served is prohibited, not by certifying bodies but by that Hadith...

Ofcourse, thats why "halal-friendly" is made up and not agreeable.

Also one drop of alcohol will essentially make the food haraam. Whereas some bacteria might not but your stomach might not agree with it. Again no one saying eat at unsanitary places but Halaal is a very important issue. Which certain Halaal bodies take extremely seriously. In the end its up to the individual to decide how they want to stand before Allah.

On topic, it seems SANHA pulled the rosebank certification. Not sure if they were using haraam or something.

But the alcohol evaporates as it is extremely volatile

The bacteria gives you the runs
