What about drugs? No mention of these in the holy books so sadly Muslims freely indulge in weed and cocaine these days due to the “loophole”

In fact sweet foods should be haraam as it’s more addictive than cocaine.

I get a really good high from a home made steak.. I fact since it has been more than a month I crave it more than a drink.

Halaal restaurants btw have only been horrendous for my work functions - ruined all of them. I would classify all the lunches as outright theft by the restaurant owners. It has been so bad that I will refuse to go to another halaal restaurant.

Anything that intoxicates the mind is haraam. So I don't know where the "loophole" is.

NV80 serves alcohol. They also couldnt provide me with credible confirmation that the Springbok was halaal. Steak was excellent. But place a time restriction as well as minimum spend on you. Not sure if its certain times only but a review mentioned this and I experienced the time restriction as well.

A bit meh - its not bad, but just nothing memorable.

The Cresta one is good, JHB South (oakdene) is good but slow service. Havent tried the one at Rosebank Zone yet.


If its a good burger you crave, try Bronto's on Grant Road, Norwood

Not the person you asking but imo they both way overrated. Neither were memorable at all. Burger rack had nice milk shakes though.
