My sister is looking for a Tv that they can watch showmax and netflix on what do you guys think of these two ?

Back story : they had 2 * 50inch hisense replaced , keeps on freezing and one caught on fire , also it could not install netflix
thats why they looking at samsung , 55inch atleast and must be able to watch showmax and netflix , got credit on refund

Depends on the Hisense model they had as well, the cheaper ones are just the cheaper.

I have the NU7100, which is the 2018 model, and am very happy with it. No complaints considering it is an entry level model.
The RU7100 is the 2019 model, but as with the NU compared to the MU, the HDR seems to get slightly worse with each iteration.

I don't think you can go wrong with either, and I would probably buy the RU7100 on black friday if I were you. I got the NU7100 last year on Black Friday, online on Game's site for a decent discount.
