I have seen it for 2 weeks but don't trust them in it. Two years back there was a 4TB 2.5" back for R1600 and they told me no stock at supplier, bumped the price up and then days later dropped it to the special no stock price. Took 3 weeks for the refund when I could have used the money at a legit supplier.

At this price it is worth the aggravation but this product page is sparse. Let us know.

Thats a very good price - even R400 cheaper than the makro special I posted about two days ago.
Gonna grab one of these with a further R150 off using the takealot voucher floating around, :sneaky: not waiting for black friday

Takealot voucher??

How can the normal price for an 8TB drive be R2499?

Normal price has been around 3k for the past year.
Sale price is actually R2599 at makro and R2179 at takealot. Takealot page shows 12% off although that percentage cant be right.

Well yeah we will have to wait and see if takealot honours this deal but at least they are better at refunds than places like raru that first earn interest on your money for a month or two before returning it to you.

Also takealot has honoured this unboxed deal for me in the past so guess anything is possible

If someone is interested.

Checkers has a special on Duracell AA and AAA batteries for a pack of 12 for R79.99 if you buy them with their
new Checkers card. Their normal price is R119.99.

Link AA and Link AAA

A few weeks ago their special was for 24 Duracell batteries for R100.

I bought my mom this phone. It's excellent due to Android One, battery etc but the touchscreen isn't on par with flagships. I have a OnePlus 6 so I'm spoiled.

Brown keys.

Not very clicky. More on the mushy side.

Saw these in my inbox 5 days ago, prices seem crazy but the links don't work any more. Anyone know what happened to them?

i have one it is a dram-less ssd so it does have a little lower MTBF, IOPS and warranty compared to popular name brands also way cheaper. Lots of debates on dram-less vs dram on ssd's :) but who cares for home use they work great and if you are moving from hdd to ssd it is a huge speed increase
