Yup, you're basically paying R1600 for a XZ2 and a R600 Bluetooth speaker. The other is just the extra.

I used to think that way as well. Bought the Redmi 7 for around R2K because of the decent CPU benchmark scores from the Snapdragon 632.
Don't get me wrong it was a great phone, but the GPU is actually inferior to even the Samsung A10.

Compared to retailers of Ellies products, the prices are very low. Even the price before the sale discount is significantly lower than most retailers.
Checked their Facebook page, and the only thing that stands out is that there were 2 name changes in the last 3 years...

Depend if it is 'a chinese special' or well known brand. As said above ellies is a well known south african brand and attracts a certain price point.

Agreed. Don't need that. Got a sim only deal from Telkom (month to month) in October last year which I use as second sim in my phone and it only costs R58 p/m for 5GB lol. Never even use half as I have uncapped fibre at home.
I know the prices and they're not. These are like those Takealot errors that usually get cancelled.
I bought about 4 of those 10w ellies from makro about 3 years ago, iirc it was R195 on special. They have been working fine ever since.Anybody know if energy-initiative.co.za is legit?

The pro does not seem much better for what you paying extra except that it support 'new stuff' like card tap functionality they are going to support soon as well as support for charging stations and few other things
