So yeah maybe just check that before you buy RAM.

i got one, i'm running a single 4gb dimm and it works.

I was formatting it as ext4 on my one server and it just failed 2 hours in. Tried to recover it in windows but could not see it in windows, Linux or macOS.

Windows did recognise it as a device but that was it.

Bad luck I suppose. Returned it today.

Yup, barcode indicates it's ECC RAM too. No fancy heatspreaders like the pictures show either.

Damn good price if ECC RAM is what you're after though. Unlikely to be fulfilled by them at any rate.

Mine also failed instantly after plugging it in, I wondered why my takealot returrn was accepted so quickly, must be happening to a lot of people.

I usually stick to WD/HGST but the price point of the 5tb was too low to pass up.
The drives that are actually in these sell for R3995 on wootware

LG monitors are commonly recommended for Macbooks, so this may be a good match with an appropriate cable (if height adjustment and USB pass-through are not required).

In the market for a 4k monitor, did the research...and this is a great deal, wonder why its not on 'promotion'?

I bought 2 of these in December at this price, it was deemed to be on promotion at the time. One for myself and one for the WiFi to make our WFH so much more palatable. We think they are awesome. I wouldn't mind 2 more because my 24" HD monitor just looks so small now next to this. One issue however is that when you share your screen in teams the people on the other side cannot see diddly squat on their handbag laptops, that's when I use the HD monitor.

Esquire though, asked them a good several years ago when they are updating their scam-like looking old website that waze would even struggle to navigate, The rep on this forums said next month... needless to say, never bought anything on their website as this "next month" is well over 5 years ago by now

If I ever have to go back to the office, I'm getting myself one of these. After being spoiled with 4K at home, 24" 1080p would feel like going back to the stone age.

Yeah even for me going from my 1440p 32" going back to the 24" is tiny.

Find someone over 60.
Drag them to Makro and force them to get a Makro card.
Buy the monitor not on special and enjoy 10% discount.
Smile on the way home
