Also remember a lot of phones in India require you to make a call with an Indian SIM card first for like 10 minutes or so to unlock the region block and allow it to be used in other countries. Keep that in mind when asking your friend to bring it to SA for you.

1st problem: Evetech
2nd problem: HD 1366 x 768 - you REALLY want Full HD 1080p, especially for Office and browsing.
3rd problem: 1TB Hard Drive - you want an SSD if at all possible. It's less of a problem if you want to upgrade it yourself.

I had a look and can't find anything either. A year or so ago I could find a couple for around R6K.
I guess it depends on how important it is to you. For me it is absolutely 100% non negotiable, so I would rather save up and wait for a sale. You can upgrade an HDD to an SSD, or add more RAM, but you're stuck with the display.
