It does have lots of heat pipes but it is some dong-lee make so results may vary

I mailed [email protected], it took a while for them to understand the issue, but a few days later a SIM card showed up unannounced.
I still didn't come right with this.
The plan was to use this data on my holiday, I'll be coming back in a few days and already got extra data.
Mtn kept telling me stories and basically denying anything about this deal, also got a "black Friday only" answer even after I told them I got it before black Friday.
This was false advertisement.

Not tech but crossposting it here anyway... GARDENA Pressure Sprayer 5 Litre for R649, cheapest I've ever seen them.

These are worth the premium, they work great, hold their pressure almost indefinitely and if anything breaks you can buy spares and rebuild kits from Gardena. I use mine only for fresh water and take it to the beach/camping/washing the bike/cleaning things in general, so useful even better than a hosepipe because the pressure is always on and you can be very precise with what you spray. I also learnt the hard way when it comes to pressure sprayers "buy cheap, buy twice", I went through two R350 cheapies ones before getting the Gardena.

Thanks for the recommendation!

For years I bought no-name brand cheap hose pipes, connectors, etc.

Then I bought a Gardena hose on trolley kit.
The quality bump is undeniable

Excellent price
Same price for Chromecast

Edit - I just noticed it's refurbished.

Same price for Chromecast

Yes, but that is refurbished. And the Xiaomi is much more versatile and includes Chromecast

Yeah, I have the Xiaomi and it's okay, but very sluggish compared to my Shield.

Then again, I got it for R799 (R899-R100 discount) at Takealot and my shield was R6000 when i got it in 2017.

Chromecast being rather k@k in comparison. But good price non the less.

Its like comparing a Porsche with a Kia lol. But that said, I have the the `new Mi Box, The Gen2, And its not sluggish at all, Like not at all.
My previous Mi stick was sluggish in comparison to the 2nd edition box. But also only because I used the TV's USB port for power. When I gave my old stick to my folks and they could not use the TV USB and had to use external power, The sluggishness was gone, I could not believe it was the same device.

Edit. Forgot i did not have the 1st edition box and was a Stick. But edited post to reflect correctly.

Wouldn’t the google Tv part be near the same or does it have less ram and cpu power?
No USB port, Mi box has Bluetooth 5.2 and CC has Bluetooth 4.2. Mi Box supports DTS-HD. I hope i'm not talking k@k now, But the Mi box has a SD slot to expand its internal storage and the CC does not,

Ram and CPU is the same. So sure, for standard TV watching, they are the same.

Both have 2GB of RAM.
Xiaomi has a newer CPU and AV1 decoding.
Chromecast has Android 12 which gives it frame rate switching, Xiaomi has Android 11 with no auto frame rate switching.

The sluggishness is mostly when I turn it on and goes away after a minute or two.

I think it's because I don't use it every day and then it possibly does updates when I switch it on.

It is, but the Shield is so smooth.

I just couldn't justify buying a second one for the bedroom and went with the Xiaomi, which is good for the price.

It does take a few seconds to switch on yeah. Mine is on like 24/7 so I don't notice it.
I cannot justify buying my 1st one lol, 6k is a lot of money. I would love having one for the sound capabilities alone. In my Home Theatre room I now have an Xbox One S and a NUC. When it comes to sound output, the Xbox one S is fantastic. It plays everything I can throw at it, and its cheaper than the Shield
