where do they have xiaomi devices on contract?

looking for a new device for my dad, his J1 Ace's 4gb memory(actually only like 2gb usable) and dual core processor needs upgrading.

want something with atleast 16gb onboard, 32gb if the price is decent.

All the google minis are now sold out but there is plenty of other devices at good prices, one that caught my eye was the Xiaomi mi A3 (128GB, Dual Sim, White) for R3899. You can then apply abovementioned code for further R150 off or return200 for further R200 off

True. I just posted it as cheaper option. You can get the Xiaomi Redmi 6 32GB - Gold for R1799 on takealot.

If you apply the "tryme14" code as a "new" customer you then only pay R1649 which is a great deal.

Takealot only has the 6A softcover for R89 but I punched a hole for the fingerprint reader in mine to fit the 6.
Mia Africa has the 6 gold cover for R199

Yeah seems one cant find the redmi 6 covers in SA. I imported from gearbest as I bought my mom a redmi 6 on takealot.

I read about the malware and bloatware on the 6A ...so is it really such a good deal if one is going to be spammed with popups/or advertising continually.

Are you talking about gearbest?

I have been ordering for years from them with no bloatware / advertising. I am using their website to order though, cant speak for the app and I also have a adblocker in my browser. I have ordered many bargains from them the last few years, just ordered a new smartwatch and smart (google controlled) switches for my home much cheaper than local suppliers or even amazon.

I also pay by paypal and you get protection from them as well if you not happy with the product. I actually ordered a 10" tablet once that was stolen on its way to me (possibly in customs after some investigation) and just logged a ticket with paypal and they returned my money to me after a dispute with gearbest where gearbest did not want to pay everything back.

No no problems on my side. I am on my 5th xiaomi. If you dont like their MIUI interface / launcher there is ways to uninstall it. Most people also use nova launcher with it.
I am not alone either - read the xiaomi thread to see how many people prefer xiaomi.

They have just released their flagship Mi 10 which is a beast with for instance a 108MP camera. Not even samsung / apple comes close on some of the specs and you can get it at a fraction of the price of similar specced samsungs

I have had samsung / huawei and xiaomi and still prefer xiaomi due to it bang for your buck.
Sales wise Samsung / apple is 1 and 2, huawei being 3rd biggest by sales and then xiaomi.

Cant comment on the 6a, my mom has the redmi 6, no bloatware. If you read posts above you see we came to conclusion that redmi 6 is better as it has a much better cpu and double the ram
