CZ Electronics are OEM'ing a 58" 4K TV for sale under various brands here -

Mainly for Dixon's (cash crusaders house brand), and Pick n Pay - AIM, although I've spotted it at other places in various other names (FTS is another)

Seems relatively well priced - 4499 or 4699 depending on whether you want the AIM branded model or the DIXON branded model.

If its an HDMI2 set (i.e. 60hz at 4k) then its a great deal.
Even if its only HDMI1.4 it would be acceptable for HD (1920x1080). 4k at 30fps is awful!

I've asked CZ and PnP what the spec's are. If I don't get a response, will send the younger humanoid to go check in the store and find out right @jsheed_sa

------
The OEM replied to my mail, and its a definite winner - 60hz!

The product supports UHD Format inputs, so it will support HDMI 2.0, HDCP Version 2.2.
480i, 480p,576i, 576p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, 4K@60Hz
HDMI Version 2.0 HDCP Version:2.2 CEC and ARC

----

Thats me sold, buying one!

If you get it, please leave a review in the AIM TV thread: https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/pick-n-pay-‘aim’-brand-tvs.998004/

Support would be from CZ (who "makes" it).
I suspect they import or "manufacture" i.e. put the panel + controller + chassis, psu together here - i.e. about 5 minutes of work.

Obviously I'd get the PnP one - its R200 cheaper!

If you swipe and purchase the TV from Pick n Pay using a TymeBank debit card you should get double Smart Shopper points and there might be other bonuses.

Pnp one is online only.

According to the TymeBank website you should still get double points for online purchases but I'm not sure. You might have to link the card?

Earn Smart Shopper points when you shop online and get double points if you’re shopping on Pick n Pay’s site.

With the voucher applied it is only R5k:

Not yet proper black friday yet but I think this was an excellent deal for the Xiaomi Poco X3. Was 11 left in stock before my order, see 9 left as I post this.

Got 3 screen protectors, 3 camera protectors and a nice back cover as well for a great price.

So does it work as a keyboard/mouse switch?
The basic functionality is to share 4 usb ports via the use of a push button, so yes if the keyboard and mouse is usb you can switch them between 2 computers.

Note the 'Features' and 'Important Note' on the product page:

Yes I'll be using it for keyboard mouse and headphones

Didint set it up yet. But will today and report back
Cool was looking for something like that, as I currently swap my mouse and keyboard between my desktop and my work laptop.

If you would rather go local for possibly faster shipping and a local warranty, also Amazon does not have the blue variant in stock:

Grey: https://www.connecteddevices.co.za/...fc-128gb-6gb-ram-dual-sim-grey-special-import

use coupon 'RETURN200' for R200 discount.

With the voucher applied it is only R5k:

WOW! Really wish I knew about that coupon! It's would also bring down the import duties. Great savings here, kudos.

Be careful with this, I don’t believe import fees are included as it’s from a third party seller.
Will have to see, I am ok with that, but as far as I am aware it's is covered under Amazon Global Shopper and the courier service used is expedited with UPS Worldwide Saver which includes customs clearance.
